Citizens' demands are escalating: Assets should be confiscated, not just prison!

Protesters gathered today (June 6) for the seventh day in Tirana in a massive protest against the government and the Zvërnec project.

Thousands of citizens, including women and children, young and old, civil society and other independent voices, have gathered together at 6:00 PM, initially at Skanderbeg Square, then they will march towards the Prime Minister's Office.

Thousands of participants poured into the sesh. There was no shortage of calls for the overthrow of the government and even the confiscation of assets.

"We don't just want prison, but also confiscation of assets, real confiscation. We want the confiscation of assets that belong to the Albanian people ," said one protester, among other things.

The calls were of various kinds:

"Albania of Albanians, not of traitors", "Berisha in prison, Rama in prison". "Government of crime", "Edi Rama is finished, finished", "Resignation, resignation".

There were also no shortage of cries of "Down with communism!", "Down with dictatorship!", "Down with the government" or "How good it would be to be Albanian!".
