Explosion in the DP/ Myslim Murrizi "explodes" against Bylykbashi: He

Former DP MP, Myslym Murrizi, on the 'Ekspres' show on RTSH hosted by Nolian Lole, has analyzed the political situation in the country, the electoral race in Tirana for the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025, where he is running under the DP's slogan for MP, as well as his criticism of the Electoral Code, accusing the two co-drafters, Gjiknuri (SP) and Bylykbashi (PD), of having a conflict of interest in drafting the Code.

Murrizi, during the interview, also explained the circumstances of his candidacy, emphasizing that he has long been in favor of open lists and not closed lists, and also underlined the moment that he experienced as a triumph the fact that the Constitutional Court, after his appeal, overturned the quotient regarding the electoral race.

"I have not accepted to be on a closed list. I have been and am for open lists. If I do not go to the Assembly with the vote of the citizens, it is better not to be an MP. In the DP for 8 months I have been for an open list. I want to be an MP with the vote of the citizens. I am not a couch potato.

I would like Albania to be an electoral zone. The electoral law is the worst possible. Tirana has the largest number of mandates. I will be a strong voice of the citizens in the Assembly, even against the DP government if it wins the elections. The open list has some specifics, but I do not hide behind a finger.

The fact that MPs don't go to the voters is thanks to this Electoral Code, where the most important thing is the licking and gnawing of the mayor for a place on a closed list. It was a good thing that it was defeated in the Constitutional Court. This is thanks to my complaint.

"Gjiknuri and Bylykbashi make a palatial electoral code. Bylykbashi should have been on the open list. The parties were in a conflict of interest when they made the code, as long as they thought of a place for themselves on the lists,"  said Murrizi.
