Rama: Former Autotractor Plant part of military industry, we also stimulate innovation

Prime Minister Edi Rama was present today at the presentation of the project for the revitalization of the former Autotractor Factory in Tirana, which will soon be used by the military industry for the production of uniforms and the assembly of armored vehicles, artillery carriers, fire engines and ambulances.
In his speech on this occasion, Rama assessed that this is an extremely positive development for the Armed Forces, our national economy and the community of the area.
The Prime Minister announced that within the framework of the renaissance of the military industry in Albania, there are a number of projects for the revival of old infrastructure that has remained out of operation.
" It's about infrastructure like this here, or that of the Rubik industrial complex and others in the territory of Albania, where our goal is to build a complete production project in the country for the needs of our Armed Forces, police forces, our firefighting forces, but also for export," said Rama.
This, according to the Prime Minister, will ensure that on the one hand the annual and significant increase in the defense budget goes to stimulate our national economy, on the other hand, through the creation of these new links in a production chain, it is intended to create new well-paid jobs for high-level technicians and security experts.
"Of course, through this process we will also stimulate innovation technology. This is more or less the panorama within which this structure also falls ," Rama announced.
