Rama demands the resignation of directors in Durrës as well, after interventions in Vlora and Fier

After Vlora and Fier, Prime Minister Edi Rama arrived today in the municipality of Durrës, where he held another meeting with harsh tones towards local leaders and institutions dependent on this municipality.
According to Top Channel, Rama has requested the resignation of all municipal directors and heads of institutions who, according to him, have not fulfilled their duties and have not reflected on the responsibilities they hold.
The meeting was also attended by the deputies of the Durrës district, as well as the mayor Emiriana Sako. Before the arrival of the head of government, the municipality undertook an action to free up public spaces, part of the campaign launched by Rama throughout the country.
The Prime Minister began this tour with the Municipality of Vlora, where 21 managers were dismissed and an ultimatum was given to businesses to clear the sidewalks. The same message was repeated in Fier and Durrës, where Rama emphasized that "the trust gained through voting must be turned into service and respect for citizens."
Rama's interventions in local government are coming at a time when the discussion about local autonomy has returned with force, but the prime minister seems determined to continue with the reform of local administration in every municipality where, according to him, work is not progressing properly.
