Shkëlzen Berisha will testify on the "Gërdeci" case/ GJKKO dismisses Media: The 90 witnesses will not be called

GJKKO today accepted the request of the families of the victims of the Gërdec tragedy, to include Shkëlzen Berisha in the list of witnesses for the event.

SPAK has agreed to call 71 witnesses, among whom, in addition to the son of former prime minister Sali Berisha, is Aldo Bumçi.

For the tragedy of Gërdec, the former Minister of Defense Fatmir Mediu has been charged, who is accused of "abuse of duty" and "abuse of duty carried out in cooperation within the military chain of command" in connection with the dismantling of ammunition in the workshop of Gërdec.

Meanwhile, the families of the victims of Gërdec requested that the testimony of 12 other people be taken in the trial for Fatmir Mediu, but the court did not accept such a thing. The former Minister of Defense in the Berisha government requested to question 90 witnesses, but this request was also rejected by the court.

 Among the figures that Mediu requested as witnesses were the former US Deputy Secretary of Defense in the period 2006-2009 Gordon England and the former Ministers of Defense of Germany and Italy.
