After serving ten months in Fier prison, Ervin Salianji, on his first day of freedom, expresses his gratitude to the senior leaders of the Democratic Party, fellow MPs and supporters who welcomed him today and accompanied him throughout his return journey from Fier prison to the Democratic Party headquarters.
Asked by journalists during the press conference, Salianji singled out DP leader Sali Berisha, Freedom Party president Ilir Meta who is currently in prison, not forgetting his colleagues, especially the deputies of the Fier district who welcomed him in front of the entrance to the prison building.
"I have had thousands of messages and I have had communication on the way to Tirana and with Mr. Berisha and senior leaders of the DP.
In front of the prison door I had the deputies of Fier, I hugged Saimir Korreshi at the Kolonja roundabout. I thank Berisha and Meta, the leaders of the DP and other parties, I will find the opportunity to meet and talk with them. Those parties that could not enter parliament , "said Salianji.
