"Pink October", Rama calls on women and girls to perform mammography

At the start of breast cancer awareness month, Prime Minister Edi Rama appealed to all women and girls to have a mammogram. Rama made the annual appeal every Pink October for all women and girls to take some time to take care of themselves by getting a mammogram.

He also reminded all families to take care of mothers, wives, sisters and daughters to perform medical checks to prevent unwanted health surprises. The month of October is otherwise known as "Pink October", a month dedicated to breast cancer awareness. The goal is to increase the number of examinations for the early detection of cancer and to increase the chances of a woman's full recovery.

To raise awareness, throughout the month of October, various events are organized, with the participation of politicians, artists, journalists and other influential women, who give encouraging messages so that this initiative is embraced by as many women as possible.
