The murder of the 80-year-old woman in Përmet, Taulanda Jupi reacts: Albanian mothers, daughters and women deserve real attention

The Secretary for Women in the Democratic Party, Taulanda Jupi, reacted on social networks through a post about the tragic event yesterday of the murder of the woman by her husband. Jupi says that this is the fairest portrayal of our security and justice system.

FAILURE - This is the fairest portrayal of our security, justice and social service system in protecting girls and women from systematic violence.

Violence in the Albanian family is medieval, where the victims of this violence are Albanian mothers, sisters, women and girls, most of whom may also have a protection order, but unfortunately the relevant state institutions and every link of the social service are failing continuous in the protection of victims of systematic violence against girls and women.

An 80-year-old woman, instead of respecting care, has unfortunately become the next victim of repeated violence.

✋ NO tolerance should be made even for those employees of the security and justice system who allow the perpetrators to reach the act of murder, especially in cases where this crime has had a prescribed chronicle.

The entire "elevation" of strategies against violence against women faces the number of victims of domestic violence, which only during this year - until September 17, 2023 marked 18 women and girls killed.
During these 10 vicious years, the more conferences are added, the more strategies are drawn up, the more there is talk of additional laws and links, the more the number of women and girls victims of domestic violence increases, and unfortunately this number is increasing every year.

Albanian mothers, daughters and women deserve real attention not propaganda, they deserve care and protection, they deserve to have other dreams and aspirations that go beyond the basic right to live and its security.
