May 11 elections in Shkodra/ Political map, PS seeks rematch, DP comes with shortcomings, Euro-Atlantics a big surprise

Shkodra will not be an easy bastion for parties on May 11th, 11 mandates are at stake in Shkodra and in the elections 4 years ago, the SP got 3 mandates, the DP 5, Tom Doshi's PSD got 2 mandates and the LSI 1 mandate.
Almost 2 years ago, in 2023, the SP took Shkodra for the first time with Benet Beci, who today also leads the socialist campaign for the May 11 battle.
Rama has decided to renew the Shkodra list, introducing new names to the closed list.
The SP has also added the mandate of the LSI that in 2021 was secured by Agron Çela, whose daughter is running on the SP's closed list in the May 11 elections. The aim is that, following the footsteps of taking the municipality for the first time on May 14, 2023, the SP continues its revenge in the capital of the Albanian right.
On the other hand, the DP is also divided in the elections. Names like Voltana Ademi, Helidon Bushati, and Zef Hila are missing from the DP list, while some names like Ramiz Çobaj, Xhemal Bushati, and Xhevdet Amuli have joined Lulzim Basha with the Euro-Atlantic Coalition.
With these beloved and respected figures, it seems that the Euro-Atlantics in Shkodra will be the surprise of the elections with at least one mandate, but with the hope of even more.
And Tom Doshi's PSD aims for a good result in these elections, given that in 2023 there is a chance of growth after the PSD managed to take the majority of the municipal councils.
While the DP seems to have forgotten Puka, Fushë Arrëz and Vau e Dejës which do not have a candidate on the closed list. Also, the former mayor Bardh Spahia has been left on the open list, so even if the DP comes out with 4 mandates he will not be in parliament. He will need 5 DP mandates and personal votes for him to get a mandate.
How many votes did the parties get in 2021?
Lulzim Basha can be said to have won Shkodra with the 2021 list, he managed to get 5 parliamentary mandates, followed by 3 SP, 2 PSD and 1 LSI.
The opposition coalition's victory was 6 to 5 in favor of Basha.
At that time, another party came from the right, that of Jozefina Topalli, which managed to receive only 1,300 votes in the entire district.

As for 2023, the PD managed to take the municipalities of Puka and Fushë Arrëzit, but lost Malësine e Madhe and Shdodra.
In Shkodër, the PD, then led by Alibeaj, did not compete in the elections in any municipality, so the right-wing votes were concentrated in the PD's bag or boycotted both candidates.
In Malësine e Madhe, the PD lost by a margin of 2,200 votes, while in Shkodër, Benet Benci defeated Bardh Spahina by a margin of 11,700 votes.
Based on that result, the PSD could get more than Berisha and that Basha's Euro-Atlantics could produce a parliamentary mandate. /Alfapress.al
