Elections in Kukës/Celibashi: There were no technical problems

The Chief Commissioner of the Central Electoral Commission, Ilirian Celibashi, in a statement to the media, emphasized that there were no technical problems regarding the electoral process in the city of Kukës.

Celibashi, who traveled to the northeastern city to closely follow the election process for the mayor of this city, declared that the process is proceeding normally.

"My arrival here in Kukës is not related to any cause related to possible problems. We have simply come with a large team to assist as much as the entire part of the election administration that deals with the administration of the election process may need. From what has been reported, it does not appear that there were problems in the technical aspect of the development of the process. Some concerns were presented by representatives of the coalition "We win together" regarding the presence in some voting centers of people who were keeping track of the voters who went to vote. But when we went to these centers, at least at that time, it did not turn out that there were people and in general there was no reporting of problems. But we have addressed it as a concern", said Celibashi.

Do të kemi një komunikim tjetër për të vendosur këtë proces jo vetëm në kuptim të kohës, por edhe të sigurisë që të mos kemi probleme në lidhje me procesin e numërimit”, tha Celibashi.

Kukësi voton sot prej orës 07:00-19:00’ për kryebashkiakun e ri. Në garë janë kandidati socialist Albert Halilaj dhe përballë tij është Emri Vata, kandidat i Aleancës ‘Bashkë Fitojmë’. Partia Demokratike e drejtuar nga Lulzim Basha, nuk mori pjesë në votime. Në këtë qark përsëriten zgjedhjet, pas largimit të Safet Gjicit nga posti i kryebashkiakut.

Zgjedhësit kanë mundësi të votojnë në 74 qendra votimi, 1 prej të cilave është ngritur në institucionin e paraburgimit të qarkut Kukës. Për identifikimin e zgjedhësve do të implementohet Sistemi Elektronik i Identifikimit të Votuesve (SEIV) dhe do të përdoren Pajisje Elektronike të Identifikimit (PEI) të vendosura në 74 qendra votimi, të cilat do të sigurojnë identifikimin e saktë të zgjedhësve, bazuar në regjistrin elektronik të mbajtur në pajisje.
