Corridor VIII Ministerial takes place in Tirana today, focusing on economic development and regional cooperation

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania will welcome today the Corridor VIII Ministerial, with a focus on advancing strategic cooperation in the field of connectivity, sustainability and regional integration.
The ministerial session starts at 10:00 at the Brigades Palace and will be chaired by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali.
This ministerial is attended by delegations led by Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy; Timčho Mucunski, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia; Oana-Silvia Țoiu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania; and Nikolay Pavlov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.
Discussions will focus on advancing Corridor VIII as a strategic axis for European connectivity, economic development and regional cooperation, while strengthening its role in sustainability, military mobility and interoperability between the European Union and NATO.
The Ministerial will be organized in four panels. In the first two panels, attendees will report on the political vision of the European priority for economic development and Corridor VIII as a catalyst for Sustainable Connectivity and Green Growth.
Another panel will discuss the geopolitical dimension of Corridor VIII and the final panel on the financing of this Corridor.
