Warm rice with broccoli
Ingredients
700 g broccoli
320 g rice
1 red onion
50 ml olive oil
1 l of broth or water
salt
black pepper
grated cheese
Preparation
To begin preparing this recipe, AgroWeb.org advises you to start by preparing the meat broth, if you choose to use it instead of water.
Then start cleaning the broccoli very carefully.
Wash and carefully cut, separating the stem from the crown part of this vegetable.
Wash the stem part as well, clean it well, and cut it into strips or small cubes.
Place the stem pieces in a blender and blend for a few seconds until a thin, liquid mixture forms.
Meanwhile, in a pan, add 30 ml of olive oil along with the finely chopped onion and let them fry together.
After a few minutes, when the onion has softened and taken on color, add the broccoli stem juice you prepared earlier.
Mix a little and add the washed and cleaned broccoli to brown and soften well.
In another pan, add the remaining olive oil and then the rice.
Let it cook with a little meat juice in a pan.
When it's ready, pour it into the other pan where the broccoli is and mix well.
Gradually add the meat broth, using small amounts and not all at once.
Add the meat broth whenever you see that the water in the pan is running low.
The entire process will take about 20 minutes and the rice will be tender.
Finally, add salt to taste and turn off the heat.
Add the grated cheese along with the pepper and you can serve immediately.
