Chiara Ferragni/ Her company heads for liquidation: her stores have lost 1.2

Fenice Retail Srl, the company 100% controlled by Fenice Srl (where Chiara Ferragni owns 99.8% and Pasquale Morgese 0.2%), was in charge of the direct management of the Chiara Ferragni brand's physical stores, taking care of the retail sales activity through official points of sale.

This company has recently been placed in liquidation, after closing its stores in Milan and Rome (Via del Babuino).

According to what Il Sole 24 Ore reports, the accumulated losses between 2023 and 2024 amount to 1.21 million euros, with total income of only 644 thousand euros and expenses of around 2 million euros.

In particular, in 2023 the losses were 530 thousand euros, while in 2024 they increased to 684 thousand euros, also due to the negative impact of the so-called "Pandoro Gate".

The economic and financial situation of the retail sector brought significant consequences to the shareholders' meeting of the parent company, Fenice Srl, becoming one of the main points of conflict between the sole administrator Claudio Calabi and the minority partner Pasquale Morgese.

The disputes raised related to the lack of documentation, including Retail's balance sheet, and the presence on the group's balance sheet of 1.6 million euros in expenses and write-downs related to the subsidiary, without any official closure plans to justify these amounts.

Due to a negative net capital, which reduced the share capital below the legal minimum, the liquidation of Fenice Retail was decided, with the appointment of Calabi as liquidator.

To cover the losses and restore the financial balance of the parent company, Fenice Srl carried out a capital increase of 6.4 million euros, which was fully covered by Chiara Ferragni.
Thanks to this operation, the entrepreneur further strengthened her control over the company, which during the years 2023-2024 has recorded overall losses of around 10.2 million euros.
