Salty ticket prices, fans "abandon" the popular singer

Billie Eilish fans have been left baffled by ticket prices to attend her shows, even going so far as to suggest another artist has 'distorted perceptions' of what can be charged.

Despite a whole year to go before Billie Eilish's UK tour arrives, fans in the region have been left fuming after scrambling to secure tickets.

Tickets went on sale in May, but the star's concerts at London's O2 arena still have seats available, and fans think there's a reason why.

It has opened up debate about a wider issue, which is whether ticket pricing for live music events has become completely out of touch with what fans can afford to pay, especially during a cost-of-living crisis.

The price of Billie's tickets has left a bitter taste in the mouths of fans, who noted that she previously signed an open letter appealing for laws in the US to block resellers from jacking up prices.

Supporters have spoken on X with fury about the cost, with one saying: "I'm glad Billie Eilish can't sell out or even sell out any of her three dates at the O2 arena because the only way to get a ticket cheaper is not buying overpriced tickets.

"For £234 (€277) to be the cheapest ticket is ridiculous."

Another said: “Amazed how a standing ticket for Billie Eilish's O2 tour next year is £250.50 (€296).

A third added: "This kind of thing is getting absurd."
