'Oppenheimer' brought director Christopher Nolan about 100 million dollars

Christopher Nolan won two Oscars on Sunday night as director and producer of "Oppenheimer", while the film won a total of 7 awards. Equally great was the financial success of the project, as it brought the British a large sum of money.
Nolan's latest take on the film, which follows the life of scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the creation of the atomic bomb, is no less than $100 million, according to a report in Variety. This figure represents a combination of salary, behind-the-scenes compensation, earnings and bonuses for the two Academy Awards.
The Universal film — which won a total of seven Oscars, including best actor for Cillian Murphy and best supporting actor for Robert Downey Jr. was made with a budget of 100 million dollars.
After its July 19 release, which was half of the cinematic phenomenon "Barbenheimer," the film grossed $958 million worldwide, an impressive figure considering the film's three-hour length and not suitable for minors. (Both are commonly seen as obstacles to attracting the so-called four-class audience). It's also the highest-grossing film since "Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," which won the Oscar for best picture in 2004. In fact, "Oppenheimer" will be re-released in 1,000 U.S. theaters. this weekend after the big win. This is expected to push the film's final gross over $1 billion, triggering an additional bonus for the director.
Now all eyes are on what Nolan, who wrote, directed and produced Oppenheimer, will do next. Some say he will remake the mystery thriller The Prisoner, based on the 1960s TV series created by and starring Patrick McGoohan, which Nolan was slated to remake in 2009. But the sci-fi project dropped from Nolan's agenda in the same year AMC released The Prisoners, a six-episode miniseries starring Jim Cavitchell as the hapless agent no. 6 along with Ian McKellen and Ruth Wilson. Others say he will start writing a new script now that awards season has come to an end.
