Steven Graham has received the approval of Bruce Springsteen for his role in the upcoming biopic "Deliver Me from Nowhere," in which he will play the legendary musician's father, Douglas Frederick Springsteen. Speaking on the podcast "Soundtracking with Edith Bowman," the British actor revealed that, shortly after filming wrapped, he received a particularly touching message from the "Born in the USA" creator. As he said, the message was one of the most beautiful he has ever received in his life.

"I was running to catch my flight when I got the message. It was very touching,"  Graham said, adding that the recognition from Springsteen himself means more to him than any award, describing the singer as a working-class hero and an idol to millions.

The actor also revealed the content of the message he sent to Springsteen: Thank you so much. You know, my father passed away a long time ago, and today it was like seeing him again. Thank you for giving me this image.

Graham admitted he was overcome with emotion when he read it, saying: " I cried. It was incredible. I couldn't ask for anything more. He's a wonderful person."

During their conversations with Springsteen, they also mentioned the musician's autobiography, "Born to Run," released in 2016. In the book, the rock star describes the difficult and complicated relationship he had with his father, who died in 1998. The film, which stars Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen, and a brilliant character, Paul Strongsteen aka Cannazero, according to People .
