Show support for Salman Rushdie, Harry Potter writer receives death threats

The writer is co-operating with police after receiving a death threat for her support of Sir Salman Rushdie. After hearing about the attack on Sir Salman in New York State, Rowling reacted by condemning the attack on the writer.
Someone replied, "Don't worry, you're next."
The Harry Potter author appealed to Twitter authorities over the offensive comment, asking: "Any chance of support?"
In a later update, she added: "To everyone sending messages of support: Thank you. The police are involved (were already involved in other threats).
Rowling, who has voiced her support for women-only spaces, has been accused of transphobia, which she denies.
Her address was made public by activists after she "talked about women's rights based on sex," she revealed last November.
At the same time, she said she had received so many death threats.
Warner Bros recently defended the author, challenging a decision to ban Sky News from asking questions about her at a Warner Studios Tour event.
