Sia reveals the impact the divorce had on her life: It plunged me into darkness and depression, I didn't make music

The famous Australian singer, Sia has spoken about a dark chapter in her life, after her divorce from Erik Anders Lang. The artist revealed the impact the divorce has had on her mental health, confessing that she went through a period of deep depression that left her bedridden for a long period of time.
"The divorce really took me by surprise, it threw me into the dark and I was bedridden for three painful years. I was seriously depressed," the 47-year-old artist told Apple Music in an interview. Sia added: "I had no energy to work on my music or do many things. The simplest tasks seemed impossible. Eventually, I slowly began to withdraw."
Sia and Eric signed divorce papers in 2016. In a joint statement, they said it was a mutual decision and that they would maintain their friendship. After the divorce, Sia found love again and married Dan Bernard in a romantic ceremony held in Portofino.
