"Telling the truth"/ Jury selected for Sean "Diddy" trial

The criminal trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs has begun the jury selection process in Manhattan Federal Court.
The trial of Combs, accused of sex trafficking, is expected to last eight to ten weeks.
Potential lawyers are called to fill out questionnaires and be interviewed about their knowledge of the case and potential positions, to determine whether they can be fair and impartial.
A process known as "Voir Dire" which translates to "telling the truth".
On Monday, hundreds of New Yorkers will gather at the courthouse to complete questionnaires and determine which individuals will move on to the next stage of selection.
Judge Arun Subramanian will lead the process of selecting and interviewing potential jurors, focusing on avoiding any bias.
This is the first step towards creating a panel of 12 jurors and 6 alternates who will decide Combs' fate.
The trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025, and is expected to last eight to ten weeks.
Combs is accused of using his power to force others to participate in sexual activities, known as "freak-offs," by using sex workers and transporting them across state lines.
He has denied the allegations, describing the actions as consensual.
Combs is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after two judges denied his request for parole, deeming him a threat to the community.
He has appealed these decisions, but so far they have been upheld. The trial is expected to attract widespread media and public attention, given the nature of the charges and the high status of the accused.
