Vanessa Pappas resigns as Chief Operating Officer at TikTok

TikTok Chief Operating Officer Vanessa Pappas is stepping down after five years with the company, which is owned by China's ByteDance.

In an email to staff, Pappas said he will take on an advisory role for the company during the transition.

"Given all the success I've had on TikTok, I finally feel the time is right to move on and re-focus on my entrepreneurial passions," said Pappas.
