Rare case in England/ Cardiac surgeon: We have an Albanian patient with the heart on the right side, the abdominal organs are on the left

A 29-year-old Albanian in London, after several health examinations, was found to have a heart positioned on the right side. For the Albanian cardiac surgeon Kristo Papa, this case is almost unique in the world, since the patient's heart and other organs are located opposite.

In the interview with Report TV journalist Enxhi Musaj, the cardiac surgeon who is following the case in London said that the patient's heart has unusual dimensions.

" The 29-year-old patient came to England for economic reasons. I was lucky enough to visit him because he was worried and I noticed that we were dealing with a rare case, his heart was positioned on the right side of the chest. We have a patient who has his heart in his right side and all his abdominal organs in his left side. The heart measures 44 millimeters," said the doctor.

Despite the fact that at the moment the 29-year-old is in good health, for the cardiac surgeon, the patient may need surgical intervention in the future, even a heart transplant. Cardiac surgeon Papa says that he will continue to monitor the patient's condition and it has been proposed to treat the case in question for free.
