Record number of tourists in Albania, 7.2 million in the first 8 months of 2023

Albania is going through the best years as far as tourism is concerned. The latest INSTAT data show that the arrivals of foreign nationals for the first 8 months of this year reached almost 7.2 million people with an increase of 26.9% compared to the same period a year ago.

Such a situation was also during the summer months. August welcomed more than 2 million foreign tourists, or 18.3% more than August a year ago when about 1.7 million tourists arrived. Foreigners have highlighted the beauty of our country, starting from the sea, the mountain, the food, the deepest villages of Albania.

Southern Europe holds the first place with 1,951,000 citizens who have come to Albania. Followed by America with about 40 thousand foreign tourists, and East Asia/Pacific, with over 12 thousand citizens.
