Argentina humiliates Brazil at home and confirms presence at the 2026 World Cup

Argentina is the fourth national team to secure participation in the 2026 World Cup, after a comprehensive 4-1 victory against Brazil in the South American qualifiers.
The reigning World Champions showed no mercy to the "Selecao" in Buenos Aires, even without Leo Messi on the field.
The match started well for the home team, who scored in the 4th minute through Julian Alvarez, while eight minutes later it was Enzo Fernandez who doubled the score.
In the 26th minute, Cunha reduced the gap, but in the 37th minute, Mac Allister scored the third goal for Scaloni's team.
The second half was accompanied by tension, as in the 71st minute Giuliano Simeone scored the "KO" shot for Brazil, scoring the fourth goal.
Argentina thus joins Japan, New Zealand and Iran as the teams qualified from the qualifiers for the "USA-Mexico-Canada 2026" World Cup, while Brazil continues to be in fourth place in the South American qualifiers.
