Women's Basketball/ Flamurtari defeats Tirana, declared champion of Albania

The Flamurtari team has been declared the Albanian women's basketball champion for the 2024-2025 sports season. The Vlora team won today 63-53 against Tirana in the third play-off final, played in Vlora.

Flamurtari won all three finals played, triumphing 3-0 over the white and blues. Although a stronger match between the two best teams in Albania was expected, these finals confirmed the dominance of the Vlora team.

A well-deserved championship title for Flamurtari, who significantly increased the level of their play in recent months, also triumphing in the Unique League. Meanwhile, today, the coastal team also lifted the championship title.

The match played today in Vlora was dominated by the home team, who took a 20-7 lead in the first period, a lead they maintained until the end. The white-and-blue team's efforts were poor, without the necessary strength to overturn the score.

Ramos with 16 points was the best scorer for the Vlora team, supported by Thomas with 13 points and Johnson with 12. For Tirana, Ndogbwo stood out with 24 points, but it was not enough to win.
