Serious injury for Marcus Rashford, his season could be over

Bad news for Marcus Rashford. The Aston Villa striker, on loan from Manchester United, risks missing the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.

According to the BBC, the physical problem that kept him out of the FA Cup semi-final loss to Crystal Palace is still being assessed, but the chances of a quick return are slim.

Although the possibility of a return before the end of the Premier League is not completely ruled out, it is more likely that Rashford will focus on recovery in view of his commitments with the national team in June, where England have scheduled a World Cup qualifier against Andorra and a friendly against Senegal.

If he returns early, Rashford's last game of the season could be against Tottenham on May 18, as he will not be part of Aston Villa's final game, against Manchester United on May 25.

Regarding his future, Rashford has decided not to discuss with any club until after the end of the summer.

His contract with the Red Devils expires in 2028, however, according to the BBC, he does not expect to play for United again as long as Ruben Amorim is the team's coach.

Rashford returned to the national team in March, in Thomas Tuchel's first list as England manager, after missing Euro 2024.
