Emirates covers Bayern Munich with gold, but will not be the main sponsor of the Bavarians...

After months of negotiations, Bayern Munich have finalized a new sponsorship deal with Emirates. According to German newspaper BILD, the Dubai-based airline will become a sponsor and partner of the Bavarian club after signing a seven-year contract, valid until 2032.
One aspect worth mentioning is that Emirates will no longer occupy the main jersey space, which will continue to be reserved for Deutsche Telekom, but for 5 million euros per year, it will continue to appear on 'Die Roten' shirts.
Interestingly, this is news, as Emirates usually partners with football teams to provide prominent graphics on the front of their shirts, as has already been seen with Real Madrid, Arsenal, AC Milan and Benfica. But for Bayern Munich, they made an exception, despite the club being unable to operate commercial flights within Germany.
Choosing a relationship…
This collaboration between Emirates and Bayern, however, will be strategic - according to the German newspaper - to strengthen Bayern's international positioning, especially in regions such as Asia and the Middle East, where they can use Emirates aircraft for their tours.
The agreement will be made public in the coming days, along with the renewal of the main sponsor Telekom until 2032 (worth 65 million euros per year). Thus, the "T" on the Munich club's shirt will continue to appear. In total, over the next seven years, the Germans will earn 35 million euros from the airline Emirates.
