Convincing victory, Florentino Perez re-elected as head of Real Madrid

Florentino Perez has been re-elected as Real Madrid president for another term. For the first time since 2009, Perez faced a rival, Enrique Riquelme, but this detail did not matter as Perez won convincingly, and according to initial reports, it is the second best result in history.

With 65% of the vote, Perez will remain at the helm of Real Madrid until at least 2030. In his speech to the members and board of directors, Perez stated that the result could have been even deeper: "We won in all demographic groups of these elections, in all age groups. This is the second best result in history, although it could have been even deeper ," Perez said during his speech.

Perez's re-election as Real Madrid manager paves the way for his new project, which now begins with the introduction of Jose Mourinho as the team's new coach. The parties have long since reached a total agreement, but only the elections were expected to make the Portuguese's return to Madrid official. The approach of Jose Mourinho will cost Perez 15 million euros.
