Hamilton: I don't feel any pressure on Ferrari debut

The countdown is almost over, with Formula 1 kicking off the 2025 World Championship this Sunday with the Australian Grand Prix. The first drivers' press conference was held in Melbourne yesterday. "I don't feel the pressure, because I know I can get results. We have to keep our heads down and work," said Lewis Hamilton, one of the most highly anticipated drivers, who will make his Ferrari debut.

The curiosity about the first race of the F1 season this year has at least tripled. This is because Melbourne will also see the debut of Lewis Hamilton with "Ferrari". After many expectations, presentations and first laps, the work has now begun in earnest.

The pressure on the British driver will be inevitable, but the seven-time world champion showed in front of the microphones that he is more than ready psychologically: "Over the years, the pressure I have put on myself has been 10 times greater than what others have put on me. I didn't come to 'Ferrari' to feel what pressure means. I know what I can bring and how to do it, it's all about putting my head down and working. I go into this weekend with an open mind," declared Hamilton.

"I'm not saying it will be easy, but I don't feel the pressure. The external pressure is non-existent, while the real pressure comes from within and from what I want to achieve. I'm not here to demonstrate something. I'm very, very lucky to have had this career in Formula 1.

"Starting here in 2007 was epic, just as it was special when I did it with Mercedes. It all reminds me of that first year and every season when I would walk into the pits looking at the red Ferrari garage, and now I'm actually here. It's a wonderful feeling," said Hamilton, appearing both excited and charged for the official start of the adventure with Ferrari.
