Hansi Flick or Kompany? Uli Hoeness reveals behind the scenes when Bayern chose the coach

Uli Hoeness has revealed Bayern's negotiations for a coach. He stressed that Kompany was not the final plan, but a top name on the list.
"When Max Eberl travelled to meet Kompany, I told him to make sure he came with his signature on the contract. Then I told him that we would consider Hansi Flick, but only if Kompany refused ," Hoeness said.
Asked about Thomas Tuchel, Hoeness said that the German coach was too demanding in the transfer market. "Tuchel wanted expensive players. I had a great relationship with him, but he had a different concept of the team. We wanted to test some of our players, while he wanted expensive names every time we had an injury. Kompany doesn't want big names."
"Summer transfer window? That depends on how much money we have available and, as far as I know, Bayern don't have that much for the summer transfer window. Plus, we have to see how the contract renewals for some names go."
