Hooliganism shocks Croatia, great fear in the Balkan country,
It's not the first time they have, and it looks like they won't stop. Football ultras are a big problem all over the world, and definitely in Croatia too, as seen in the Cup derby between Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb.

In the semi-final challenge where there were also two Albanian players on the field, Arbër Hoxha and Emir Sahiti, the "Torcida" fan group terrified thousands of people in the "Poljud" stadium in Split by entering the field, enraged by the loss, a part of the fans locals followed Dinamo Zagreb players around the field, threatened anyone who came in front of them, while they continued the hooliganism outside the stadium.

Several cars of friendly fans from Zagreb were destroyed, while the punishment of the Croatian Football Federation was initially to close the stadium to the local public, with the Hajduk team playing their home games without spectators until the end of the season, but this it is a temporary measure, because it is expected that the Disciplinary Commission will be tougher.

The concern in Croatia is great, since the two groups of ultras, those of Hajduk and Dinamo, are known for their aggressiveness and organization, while they are believed to have a political background, while in Split, the history of hooliganism is old, where in the distant year 1961, "Torcida" sawed the goalposts and cut the nets, after a loss in the championship against Sarajevo.

Earlier, the referee was attacked, while in 1970 the climax was reached because the cars of the fans from Belgrade were thrown into the sea, after a match with the capital team, OFK.

Fans threw a severed head of a rooster in the semi-final of the UEFA Cup against Tottenham in 1984, as the symbol of the English club was the rooster, and for this UEFA closed the stadium, while the cases of violence and even attacks on their players are not counted, while in Croatia believes that this was a forewarned event and that more can be expected afterwards.
