Disappointed after the championship result, Trosard thinks about PSG: We need to repeat the atmosphere with Real

Leandro Trossard is disappointed after Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League, but made it clear that the focus has now shifted to the upcoming Champions League semi-final against PSG. The Belgian striker did not try to hide his disappointment at his team's inability to hold on to a lead they twice led.

"I think overall it wasn't a good performance from us," Trosard told the club's channels. "We should have been better, especially when you're ahead twice. You have to defend that lead well. That's not what we did, but now we just have to focus on the next game."

The 30-year-old, who has scored four goals in as many league matches and has reached double-digit goals this season, once again gave what was needed, finishing accurately at the end of the first half.

But defensive errors and a late goal from the opposition denied Arsenal victory again, leading them to record their 13th draw of the season in the championship. However, Trosard is conscious: “Of course, we have to be better.

"Especially with a big game coming up. We need to rest and prepare well for it." This will be the first Champions League semi-final at home against PSG and it is precisely this kind of evening that Trosard experiences with particular passion.

After recording a key role in the spectacular victory over Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, Trosard issued a call to the fans who helped create that unforgettable atmosphere.

"I think everyone is motivated for this ," he said. "We have six days to prepare, we have to rest now, prepare very well, and I believe everyone will be ready. With the fans behind us, we have to create an electrifying atmosphere, they will push us forward. We want the same atmosphere as last time, they were incredible at home against Real. If we can do it again, it would be great."
