Inaki Williams reveals the truth behind why his brother's transfer to Barcelona failed

Inaki Williams has returned once again to the summer "soap opera", where the protagonists were his brother, Nico Williams, and Barcelona.
For the second summer in a row, Barcelona attempted to sign Nico Williams, but just like last year, the winger decided to renew his contract with his current club, Athletic Bilbao, on a long-term contract.
Inaki Williams has publicly defended his brother, attacking the Catalan club's circle for the way the matter has been handled in the media.
"They wanted to exert pressure with their media campaign, they have muddied things a lot, a lot of the things that were said on social media or that were published were lies, my brother had already decided," says Inaki Williams.
With these words, Iñaki implied that the interest from Barcelona was not as transparent and real as the media made it out to be. So far, there has been no reaction from the Barcelona camp to this statement by Inaki Williams.
