UEFA has made it clear that it does not intend to listen to criticism from anyone about the referees and the way they officiate the match, even though such criticism has come from a figure respected by all like Claudio Ranieri.
The latter, after Roma's match against Porto in the Europa League, openly criticized the German referee Tobias Stieler, who according to him had made obvious decisions against the Italians. UEFA announced today that the Italian coach has been fined 20,000 euros for these statements. A clear message to anyone else who attempts to attack the football institution's choices regarding the black jackets.
