Napoli wins in court, Hysaj fined for "rebellion"

Former Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj has been fined 40,000 euros. It took five and a half years and three levels of judgment to finally declare that the players could not abandon the withdrawal ordered by the club after the Champions League draw against Salzburg in 2019.

The court has deemed the club's decision legitimate. Napoli had taken disciplinary measures after the players refused to go to Castel Volturno after the match. Along with Hysaj, Insigne and Mertens also made the rebellious decision.

Hysaj has currently been active at Lazio for several seasons.
