Piqué: Barça favourites against Inter, Pedri and Yamal can reach our level

Gerard Piqué, former Barcelona defender and current founder of Kings League, spoke to Sky Sport ahead of tonight's super challenge between Barcelona and Inter, the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals:

"I see Barcelona as somewhat of a favorite, Inter are a strong team, but have been struggling recently, while Barça won the Copa del Rey final playing excellent football.

"It will be a big match and I hope Barcelona qualify."

Remember the 2010 double semi-final?

"A very difficult match. We had to go to Milan by bus because of the volcano eruption."

"We lost 3-1, a difficult match in the first leg with an offside goal, while in the second leg we scored 1-0, but we had a goal disallowed which I think was legal. It was difficult for us."

Can this Barcelona reach the level of your team?

"Why not? There are very strong players, very young and with great talent, they have the future in their hands. The fans are behind the team and I hope that their successes are equal or even greater than ours, because these players are showing strength."

"They are young and can improve a lot. It's been a long time since they were in a semi-final and I hope they enjoy this challenge."

Cubarsí, Pedri, Lamine... Has a new generation been born after yours, Xavi's and Iniesta's?

"I hope they catch up with us or even surpass us. I want Barça to win as many titles as possible. Matches like today are perfect to start the road to victories, and I am very optimistic about their future."

Yamal and Kings League, will be the president of a team..

"Lamine has grown up with us, when we started he was only 14 years old and he followed us to every match. His dream was to have a team and that's what happened. We have spoken and he will have his own team at the World Cup in Paris, in June."
