PSG appoints new general manager

Paris Saint-Germain already has a new general manager. This is Victoriano Melero (55 years old).

This trained lawyer, who has worked at TF1 and the French Football Federation (FFF), former deputy general manager since early 2023, replaces Jean-Claude Blanc.

This appointment had been up in the air for several weeks, as Nasser al-Khelaïfi praised the discretion and hard work of the man who arrived at PSG in 2017 as the club's general secretary.

After Blanc left, Melero managed PSG operationally as a duo with Marc Armstrong, the club's director of revenue.

The Englishman for various reasons wanted to return to England and will soon join Manchester United.

The announcement of the appointment of Melero, who unlike Blanc is not delegated executive director, was made internally this Tuesday in the early afternoon.

At the club since 2017, Victoriano Melero initially managed the capital club's external relations before gaining a more important place over time.
