The players and the representative team of the Albanian National Team that will travel to Germany next month for "EURO 2024", will be monitored and secured throughout their journey by the Special Forces of the Albanian Police.
The Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Albanian Football Federation, has engaged the elite forces of the State Police, to guarantee the 24/7 security of the red and black players.
All the movements of the Albanian National Team in the streets and cities of Germany, for the three official challenges of "EURO 2024", the environments where the players will train and the residences where they will stay for about a month will be under maximum monitoring.
RENEA Special Forces operatives and a team from the Anti-Terror Directorate from the State Police, under the direction of First Director Alfred Mara, will monitor the security of the representative team 24 hours a day. Mara will be fully paid for accompanying the National Team and maintaining communications with the German security authorities.
The "Webljm" portal informs that the Albanian Police officers who have been selected to accompany the red and black players in Germany have been in contact with the German side since December 2023 and on June 8 they will land in Berlin.
The Euro 2024 adventure for Albania officially starts on June 15, where we challenge Italy in Dortmund. We then face Croatia in Dusseldorf on June 19 and play the final group game against Spain in Hamburg on June 24.
The operatives of the Special Forces and the Anti-Terrorist Directorate have undergone a series of checks and "vetting" by Europol and the German Police, before receiving the certificates of readiness to guarantee the safety of their representative team.
Also, the authorities in Germany have received a list compiled by the Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with the Albanian Football Federation with the names of fans penalized and expelled from the Albanian stadium, who will not be allowed to attend even Euro 2024, from the stairs of stadiums.
