Serie A remains suspended due to Pope Francis' funeral

The death of Pope Francis shocked the whole world. Also on Wednesday, the "Madonnina" derby, Inter-Milan, will be played at 9 p.m., as originally scheduled. It remains unclear what will happen with the 34th week of Serie A, which is scheduled to take place from Friday to Sunday.

Serie A remains suspended, as it has not yet been determined when the tributes and the funeral of Pope Francis will take place. Heads of state from around the world will arrive in Italy, with Donald Trump among those who have confirmed their presence.

The team most affected by this situation is expected to be Inter, with the Blues not preferring an even greater compression of the calendar as they are competing on every front, Serie A, Champions League and Coppa Italia.
