Challenge with England, Bekim Balaj: Albania's players should be cynical

Former national team striker, Bekim Balaj, analyzed the challenge that Albania will play against England.

Speaking to Klan News, Balaj stated that it will be a very difficult match, due to the opponent he is facing.

"That victory in Portugal gave us a big boost in those qualifiers. This match is very similar, but it's for the World Cup qualifiers. I can say that the Albanians' appetite has grown and the dream we once had for the European Championship, now the Albanians dream of the World Cup. We play with the strongest opponent in the group.

This group of players has experience. They have been playing together for a long time and they have that in their favor. The players come at a good moment and that is more important. This match requires a lot of sacrifice in terms of physicality from all the players. Concentration and willingness to sacrifice during 90 minutes can give us something against England.

"It's a match where we have to be careful. In a match like this, we won't have many chances. It's important to be focused and cynical in the chances we do get,"  Balaj declared.
