He bursts into tears in the middle of the trial, what happened to Gerard Piqué?

Former Barcelona player Gerard Piqué is facing charges in Spain over the transfer of the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia. He was summoned to court on suspicion of involvement in the negotiations that led to the transfer, accusing him of fraud and corruption.
His company, Kosmos, mediated the realization of the event, while Piqué is accused of benefiting from hefty commissions, which amount to over 10 million euros.
During his testimony in court, Piqué appeared in good spirits and smiling as he left the courtroom. However, inside the courtroom he broke down in tears, telling the judge:
You don't know how much this hurts me. In another place, I would have a statue.
The former presidents of the Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales and Pedro Rocha, are also involved in this case.
