Kosovo Superliga/ Gjilan wins the derby with Drita, Prishtina is stopped by Feronikeli 74

On Sunday, 2 matches took place that concluded the 17th week of the Albi Mall Superliga of Kosovo, which brought emotions and interesting results.

In the city derby, the Gjilan team secured a valuable victory over the eternal rival, Drita, with a minimum score of 1:0. The decisive goal was scored by Armend Thaqi in the 87th minute. He scored a super goal from long range, leading his team to sixth place with 21 points.

Despite the loss, Drita remains the leader in the table with 37 points after 17 games, seven points more than Balkan, which is positioned in second place. This was only the second defeat for the team led by Ardian Nuhiu, in this edition.

On the other hand, Prishtina suffered a loss at the "Rexhep Rexhepi" stadium in Drenas, where they were defeated by the last ranked team, Feronikeli 74, with a score of 1:0. For the team from Drenas, this was the second victory in this edition.

The winning goal was scored by the Greek attacker Nikolaos Ioannidis in the 22nd minute. Prishtina, who were on an eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions, failed to maintain their form. In the 72nd minute, Feronikeli 74 had a goal canceled by Armend Gashi, while Prishtina also thought they won a penalty in the 80th minute, but after the VAR review, the decision was changed.

After this defeat, Prishtina remains in fourth position with 26 points, one more than Suhareka, which is positioned in fifth place. Meanwhile, Feronikeli 74 has managed to record four consecutive games without defeat, accumulating 10 points in total, thus proving that it has not given up the fight for survival.
