Torino makes big change, Asllani will have a new sports director

Torino experienced a major leadership shake-up after their recent defeat to Milan, with the club announcing the dismissal of Davide Vagnati as sporting director.
His place is taken by Gianluca Petrachi, a figure well-known to "granata" fans, who led the Turin transfer market from 2010 to 2019.
Vagnati paid the consequences of an unsuccessful summer transfer window.
The investments did not yield results and none of the approaches, from the 8 million for Zakaria Aboukhlal to the loans of Asllani and Ngonge, failed to affect the team's performance.
This prompted president Urbano Cairo to bring back the man who years ago had signed important signings such as Alessio Cerci, Ciro Immobile, Matteo Darmian and Andrea Belotti.
Petrachi left in 2019 to join Roma, in a move that caused tensions with President Cairo.
However, the parties have put their differences behind them and the director, after his last adventure at Salernitana, is ready to start the second chapter in Turin.
He is expected to visit the team and be officially introduced to the media tomorrow.
In the official statement, the club thanks Vagnati for his work over the past six years, while wishing him success in the future.
