Drug trafficking, Special Court sentences two defendants to 10 years in prison (Names)

The Special Court has issued a verdict for the three defendants in the 2023 narcotics case.
At the conclusion of the trial, the Criminal Court of Kosovo found Redian (Refik) Doda guilty of the criminal offense of "production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration and more than once.
He was initially sentenced to 8 years in prison, but due to the summary trial, his sentence was reduced by a third, ultimately being set at 5 years and 4 months in prison.
The charges against him for "money laundering" and "participation in a structured criminal group" were dropped, after the court found that the facts did not constitute a criminal offense or were not proven.
The defendant Fabi Isaku was also found guilty of the same criminal offense, “production and sale of narcotics” in collaboration and repeatedly. He was initially sentenced to 7 years in prison, while after a reduction of one third, the final sentence was set at 4 years and 8 months. As in the case of Doda, the court dismissed the charge of “structured criminal group”, finding that the criminal fact had not been proven.
Unlike the first two defendants, Zabit (Artur) Fisniku was found not guilty of all charges brought against him. He was accused of "narcotics trafficking" in three episodes during 2023, as well as participation in a structured criminal group.
The GJKKO concluded that there was no evidence that Fisnik had committed the criminal offenses alleged by the Special Prosecution Office. For this reason, the court ordered the lifting of the “prison arrest” security measure and his immediate release from detention, unless he was being held for another legal reason.
