Judoka Laura Fazliu continues the race for bronze medals

The judoka Laura Fazliu was defeated in the quarterfinals by the Frenchwoman, Clarisse Agbegnenou, but continues the race for the bronze medal.

She is competing in the category up to 63 kilograms.

Laura will face Canadian Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard on Tuesday afternoon.

This is the first time Laura, 23, is participating in the Olympics.

This time Kosovo is represented in the Olympics with nine athletes - in sports such as judo, swimming, athletics and boxing.

Distria Krasniqi secured silver medals, while four other athletes, Adell Shabovic, Nora Gjakova, Akil Gjakova and Donjeta Sadiku, finished the competitions without awards.

In total, Kosovo has three gold medals and one silver.

Majlinda Kelmendi was the first to secure the gold medal for Kosovo in Rio 2016, held in Brazil./REL
