Tragedy in Fushë Krujë! Waiter jokingly pushes 16-year-old colleague

Two people have been arrested by Kruja police following the death of a 16-year-old boy, who lost his life yesterday after an elevator broke down in a restaurant in the village of Arrameras, in Fushë-Krujë.

Endri Stafuka, a waiter at a restaurant in Fushë Krujë, and Afrim Vathi, the owner of the business, have been arrested by the State Police following the death of a 16-year-old waiter. Endri Stafuka is accused of murder, while the owner Afrim Vathi is accused of "Violation of occupational safety regulations" and "Hiding income."

According to the Police report, it is suspected that the 26-year-old and the 16-year-old were joking with each other and the waiter Endri Stafuka pushed the minor down to the first floor of the bar. As a result, the elevator broke down and the 16-year-old hit his head on the tiles, where he died on the spot.

Specialists from the Kruja Police Commissariat arrested the following citizens in flagrante delicto:

-ES, 26 years old, for the criminal offense of "Murder by negligence";

-AV, 62 years old, for the criminal offenses of "Violation of occupational safety regulations" and "Hiding income".

The arrests were made after it is suspected that on 11.10.2026, in the village of Arrameras, Fushë Krujë, in the restaurant owned by citizen AV, citizen ES, a waiter at the bar, pushed a 16-year-old (employed as a waiter at the bar) into the elevator, and as a result of the elevator disconnecting, the 16-year-old lost his life.   

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
