3 active fires in the area

Over the last 24 hours, 20 fires have been reported, of which 3 are still active and one is under monitoring.
These fire outbreaks have been identified in the municipalities of: Dibër, Bulqizë, Mallakastër, Fier, Kavajë, Vorë, Vau i Dejës, Shkodër, Malësi e Madhe, Has, Krujë, Vlorë, Selenica, Gjirokastër and Përmet.
Currently, the following outbreaks remain active:
Dibër County - Work has continued to extinguish the fire in the place called "Mali i Peladhisë", Zerqan administrative unit, Bulqizë municipality.
Shkodër Region – In the place called “Qafa e Lacit”, Vau-Dejës municipality, since yesterday there has been a fire in an area with oak trees and bushes. The area affected by the fire is about 5 ha.
Gjirokastër District – In the place called Grohot, where the waste of the Gjirokastër municipality is collected, there has been a fire since yesterday. The service group with a fire engine is on the ground to extinguish the fire.
Dibër County – In the place called “Lake of Flowers”, part of the Lura National Park. Today, the area where the fire developed is dormant and with little smoke coming from the interior of the hearth. Currently, the fire is being monitored on the ground by 4 AdZM forces and 5 municipal forces to extinguish the fire.
The fires were mainly recorded in areas with bushes and vegetation, where as a result more than 150 hectares of land and over 1000 olive trees were burned. In one case, the fire was detected in an apartment, in the "15 Tetori" neighborhood, Fier and in another case in a bus, on the Kardhiq-Delvinë road axis, near the Skërfica tunnel, Gjirokastër municipality. In both cases, material damage was recorded.
Based on the forecasts of the Institute of Geosciences, light rainfall is expected today in the regions of Kukës and Elbasan, while localized rainfall is expected in the regions of Shkodër, Dibër, Tirana, Berat, Korçë and Gjirokastër.
Regarding forest fires, a "HIGH" risk level is expected today in the regions of Lezhë, Fier, Berat, and Gjirokastër, and a "MODELAR" risk level in all other regions. Civil Protection structures are all engaged to assist the community in case of need. We invite citizens to exercise caution, avoiding starting fires in open areas and to immediately report any fires they observe to the fire services.
