The Fier Local Police Directorate has announced several events that occurred yesterday evening and this morning, where arrests and criminal proceedings were carried out for various legal violations.

A 57-year-old man, AH, was arrested in flagrante delicto after his motorcycle hit a 77-year-old pedestrian on the Lushnje-Fier road, who died in hospital. Also arrested was 43-year-old Xh. P., from Divjaka, after he was caught driving while intoxicated.

Meanwhile, criminal proceedings have been initiated against citizen BG, 47, for threatening an elderly person, and RH, 45, for domestic violence against his wife. The materials for all cases have been referred to the Fier Prosecutor's Office for further action.

In connection with last night's road accident, on the "Lushnjë-Fier" road axis, we inform that following procedural actions, specialists from the Road Traffic Sector arrested citizen AH, 57 years old, resident of the village of Pirrë, after the motorcycle he was driving hit the pedestrian, citizen HM, 77 years old, resident of the village of Rrapëz, who as a result lost his life in hospital.

Specialists from the Road Traffic Sector arrested citizen Xh. P., 43 years old, resident of Divjaka, after he was caught driving a motorcycle while intoxicated.

Specialists from the Lushnja Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against the following citizens:

-BG, 47 years old, resident of the village of Ardenica, suspected of threatening a 76-year-old citizen for weak motives;

-RH, 45 years old, resident of Lushnja, for allegedly having exercised violence against his wife.

The procedural materials were referred to the Fier Prosecutor's Office for further action.
