A Traffic Police officer in Tirana has been suspended from duty after allegedly accepting a bribe while on duty.
The police announced that Officer KK would remain suspended from duty until the case is fully clarified.
The measure was taken after the publication on social networks of a video claiming that a Traffic Police employee had committed a suspected illegal act while performing his duty.
Thus, the director of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, in accordance with the State Police regulation, has immediately suspended from duty, until the case is fully clarified, the police employee, inspector KK, assigned as a service officer in the Traffic Police, at the Tirana Police Commissariat.
Also, the Directorate of Professional Standards at the General Directorate of the State Police has immediately initiated investigative proceedings.
According to the police, they are cooperating with the Police Supervision Agency (AMP), which has immediately begun carrying out investigative and procedural actions, with the aim of clarifying and fully documenting the case legally.
