The well-known singer Frederik Ndoci, in an interview given to Top Channel, reacted after the release of Parashqevi Simaku's video and her return to the public.
He said that he has known the singer for many years and that they have shared the stage together, while showing that they have been friends. Ndoci confesses that he and Parashqevi Simak worked together for several months in America, where they sang in restaurants with Albanian music.
"She was talented, the best at that time... I knew the situation in time, I tried to help her because we were friends, we shared the stage both in Albania and in New York"
He confesses that Simak did not like this "scene" and that he had subsequently rejected other offers that were made to him to sing in these venues.
"Who likes to sing in the cafe from the opening scene?! Parshqevia chose this point because she made a program only with her materials, while I had a different repertoire. Cultured people could not follow because they did not have the economic strength to follow. It was an audience that did not understand the songs well"
The singer also recounted the meeting he had with Simak in 2007, by chance in New York, while he was with her son, shortly after she was divorced.
"I stop the car, she was with the boy, I ask her what happened and she told me that she was not satisfied with the reaction of the Albanians after she had returned to Albania, not that they did not want her art in Albanian, but they did not want it in English" .
According to him, the divorce and loss of custody of the son had a strong impact on the turn of her life.
"I condemn every court that made that decision if she was responsible, because I know she was an emir mother like every Albanian mother. then the drama begins".
Ndoci says that the "American dream" for artists is not so easy.
"No Albanian artist has become a super boss in the USA... it is very difficult and the fall of the spiritual defeat of an artist is different from another artist".
