Behar Bajri, one of the most talked-about names and accused of serious criminal events, especially in Shkodër, called the editorial office of Alfapress.al from prison in Paris and requested that through a short interview due to time constraints, he should appeal to the Albanian authorities. to realize or speed up his extradition to Albania, as he wants to face the charges raised by SPAK after the case "Metamorfoza.
He also reveals that he is facing isolation and appalling conditions in French prisons, not even being given the medication he is being treated with. He adds that he demanded his basic rights in prison through his lawyer and even by going on a hunger strike, but again his situation only worsens.
Bajri suspects that "someone" in Albania is preventing his extradition and asks him to make public his willingness to be available to SPAK prosecutors as soon as possible.
In fact, Albania does not have an extradition agreement with France, but as in other cases, international human rights conventions can be used for this procedure, especially since the accused himself has expressed in the French court his will to be extradited to Albania.

Alfapress.al: Where are you currently located?
Behar Bajri: Since my arrest on September 4, I have been in total isolation in Strasbourg prison. Terrible ventilation restrictions, they don't give me medicine because they don't even know my prescription, I've lost almost 50 kilograms and it's going on like this, it could lead to death. A few days ago I was transferred to the Paris prison, but they did not tell me the reason, I hope they will extradite me.
Alfapress.al : When were you arrested and what procedure did you follow in France?
Behar Bajri: I was arrested on September 4 of this year. Where on the 5th according to the lawyer, at the request of Albania I was isolated in the most extreme conditions.
Before the arrest, I had started the procedure for asylum together with my wife and 4 small children. The family members received the asylum, but for me there is still no final answer. Initially, I refused extradition to Albania, but seeing the situation in French prisons and after thinking about it after the recent serious accusations of SPAK after what they call "Metamorphosis" and which appeared in the Albanian media. My lawyer Emanuel Marsingi insists that I get my right here in France, but knowing that I am innocent, I have decided to face justice in Albania.
Ndaj në datën 19 tetor kam firmosur në gjykatë, pranimin për tu ekstraduar në Shqipëri. Sipas avokatit në datën 24 tetor ka nisur edhe procedura për tu ekstraduar, por ajo po vonon shumë dhe kam dyshime se “dikush” po e pengon dhe nuk dëshiron që të përballem me drejtësinë në Shqipëri, por të vdes burgjeve në Francë.
Alfaperess.al: Mos ndoshta autoritetet franceze kanë çështje për ty?
Behar Bajri: Jo absolutisht nuk kam asnjë problem me drejtësinë këtu në Francë, kjo është e vërtetuar dhe as nuk më kanë pyetur fare për asgjë.
Alfapress.al: Akuzat ndaj jush këtu sidomos pas zbulimeve të aplikacionit SKY dhe operacionit ndërkombëtarë “Metamorfoza” ku është përfshirë edhe Franca, janë shumë të rënda. Dyshoheni për vrasje, tentative, porosi ekzekutimesh me pagesë në llogari të Pëllumb Gjokës, etj.
Behar Bajri: Meqenëse kohën e telefonatës e kam shumë të kufizuar, nuk mund ti shpjegojë tani të gjithë këto. Deri në një vendim gjykate në Shqipëri unë prezumohem i pafajshëm, ndaj edhe po këmbëngulë që të vij sa më parë në Shqipëri dhe të përballem me të gjitha. I bëj thirrje autoriteteve shqiptare, Ministrisë së Drejtësisë, që të mos pengojnë më ekstardimin tim. Gjithashtu meqenëse jam nënshtetas shqiptarë, kërkoj që ambasada shqiptare në Paris apo nuk e di kush tjetër nga shteti shqiptarë, të vij në burg dhe të mënyrën çnjerëzore që po trajtohem. Kam hyrë disa herë në grevë urie dhe sërish, nuk është marrë asnjë masë. Të paktën të më japin ilaçet, se po rrezikojë që të vdes këtu.

Faktikisht Prokuroria e Posaçme, (SPAK) i ka kërkuar në datë 7 shtator 2023 Ministrisë së Drejtësisë që të nis procedurat për ekstradimin e Behar Bajrit nga Franca, vetëm 4 ditë pasi ai u arrestua në 4 shtator në një lokal në Strasburg, pasi ishte shpallur në kërkim në muajin korrik për llogari të dosjes “Metamorfoza”.
Në atë kohë SPAK i ka dërguar Ministrisë së Drejtësisë të gjithë praktikën në lidhje me dosjen, në të cilën përfshihen provat konkrete kundër Bajrit dhe veprat penale për të cilat ai akuzohet. Bashkëngjitur është vendosur edhe vendimi i Gjykatës së Posaçme, i arrestit me burg në mungesë për Bajrin.
Behar Bajri, i cili ka kërkuar azil në Francë që prej vitit 2021 fillimisht ka përdorur çdo praktikë ligjore që përfshinë të drejtat e njeriut për të kundërshtuar ekstradimin e tij drejt Tiranës dhe përballje me drejtësinë për dosjen “Metamorfoza”. Fillimisht ai e refuzoj kërkesën e Shqipërisë, por në datë 19 shtatorë, ka nënshkruar në gjykatën franceze pranimin për ekstradim në Shqipëri.

According to them, the French investigators have also documented the phone calls of the 43-year-old, but according to the media, after the international arrest warrant issued against him in July 2023, his location was also helped by the data he had used in the asylum request two years ago. Bajri is suspected of injuring Taulant Pepaj, as a result of settlement of accounts between criminal organizations.
France, the country that Bajri had chosen to hide, helped to clarify the communications of SkyECC, which unraveled the crimes of the Bajri tribe, the group of Ervis Martinaj, the prosecutor Xhevahir Lita and the former chief of the Operacionale, Oltion Bistri.
Bajri, like SPAK, is currently asking to be extradited to Tirana as soon as possible. Albania does not have a signed extradition agreement with France, however, the attempt will be made through the use of international human rights conventions to convince the courts there.
It is still not known whether the Ministry of Justice has made available to the French authorities the complete file on Behar Bajri. In the "Metamorfoza" file, Behar Bajri, in addition to being accused of being the organizer of the murder of Gjin Boriçi on behalf of the missing Ervis Martinaj, is also suspected of providing the persons for the attempted murder of Kleanthi Musabelliu, on behalf of the businessman Pëllumb Gjoka and the orderer of the murders. that were never carried out by Dorian Duli, Genc Tafili and Ibrahim Lici.
